FAQ

This depends on the settings of the processing centre of every separate Bank. UniCredit Bank performs conversion on the rate of International payment systems (IPS) VISA and MasterCard respectively.

The payment system (VISA/MasterCard) sets a conversion rate on the basis of several information sources regarding the rates of purchasing and selling of currency exchange (for example, Bloomberg, Reuters, Central Banks etc.). Neither Interbank rate of the host country of the client, nor Interbank rate of Ukraine do not take part in formation of conversion rates.
We would like to pay your attention to the fact that the conversion rate may change during the day.

The cardholders of UniCredit Bank can get acquainted with the rate used for conversion “yesterday” by a reference to the Bank Information Centre. Information regarding the rate “today” and/or “tomorrow” is not possible to provide for the Bank does not have the opportunity to predict the rate, which shall be stated by a relevant IPS.

When paying for goods and services in trade and servicing enterprises or upon the receipt of cash by the Cardholder with the help of the payment card through ATM, money write-off from the card account is performed in two stages:
1) In the moment of operation a necessary sum, calculated in accordance to the settlement rate of currency conversion correspondingly to IPS to the day of operation, is blocked on the client’s account.
2) According to IPS (VISA/MasterCard) rules the factual money write-off from the card account is performed within 2-3 days after the operation (money blocking) on the settlement rate current on the day of money write-off from the card account. As a result, in case of fluctuations in the settlement rate, there may appear a difference in rates between the initially blocked and factually written-off sum from the card account.
