UniCredit Bank ranked as the most stable bank in Ukraine, and CEO of UniCredit Bank, Federico Russo, rated as the most efficient banker in Ukraine

According to the results of “Expert-Rating” rating agency Federico Russo, CEO of  UniCredit Bank Ukraine, won in nomination as the most efficient manager among top bankers  in financial sector of Ukraine.

One of the main criteria of this nomination were deposit growth and net profit level in 2009 as well.  In turbulent 2009 year Mr. Russo managed UniCredit Bank to succeed in refracting negative market tendencies, providing the deposits growth in the bank for about 50% - such a growth rate of deposit’s base was the highest among Ukrainian banks. 

UniCredit Bank itself was ranked # 1 as the most stable bank in Ukraine, according to the rating results of “Kontrakty” business magazine.  The rating was conducted among the banks operating at least four years on Ukrainian banking market and was based on the official statistics of the main banking indexes and ratios for the period 2006 – 2009.  UniCredit Bank showed the most sustainable positive dynamics among those banks.

UniCredit Bank - UniCredit Bank was established in Lutsk in 1997 as Pekao Bank (Ukraine) and was a member of Pekao Group S.A, which was controlled by UniCredit Group. In June 2006 Bank changed its name to UniCredit Bank according to the business strategy development of UniCredit Group in Ukraine. Financial summary as of December 31, 2009: loan portfolio – 7.97 billion UAH., net assets – 8,69 billion UAH, bank’s capital – 828 million UAH.
